My Commitment to you

I will respect your choices, your emotions, your goals. I will work confidentially and collaboratively with you to create a more positive living environment for you.  I will put you first and ensure the way I work with you is ethical and safe.  Safety in your home is a priority so with your consent I would like to make a referral to the fire service – they offer a free Home Fire Safety Visit (depending on eligibility) where they advise on how to stay safe from fire in the home, and are able to check and fit a smoke alarm if you need one.
I promise to work within my competency, to only accept a referral if the client meets my criteria for help, and refer you on if I feel my services are not appropriate for your needs.  I will keep my knowledge up to date and keep accurate records in line with GDPR.  Our relationship will build as we work together, the foundation of which is built on trust, honesty, respect, accountability and compassion.  I will always discuss with you the risks and benefits and how best we can work to get to your desired outcome.

Stepped Care

Putting My Clients First

A stepped care approach has been used by many in clinical settings since 2004.  A stepped care model for depression in primary care was generally well received.  With this in mind, I have developed a stepped care approach to the services I offer.

Hope for Hoarding Services

My Goal - To destigmatise Hoarding Disorder and bring compassion to helping those who live with H.D.

Vision

I want to offer each client I see the acknowledgement and understanding that their belongings are theirs, for them to be in the presence of someone who respects them as an individual and accepts them.  I want every professional I speak to have that same understanding too, so that whoever they meet with H.D, they can offer the empathy and compassionate understanding and willingness to support each person they meet.

Mission

To offer an accessible and compassionate package to clients that will help them declutter their mind and lives.  To share knowledge, information and case studies with other professionals to encourage them to work compassionately too.

Values

As a counsellor my values and principles are formed from the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists Ethical framework.  Honesty, respect and autonomy are at the core of my work.  I respect each client in their right to be self-governing, I will be honest with you in my work and I hope you will trust me enough to be honest with me, and I will always respect: you as a unique person; your boundaries; your privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
